How do I install on my FireOS device?

Although FireOS is based on the Android operating system, it does not give access to the Google Play Store. This means that you have to either download the FireOS app from the Amazon App Store, or manually from our website. Depending on the age of your device, you may have to install the FireOS application manually.

For 2019 and newer Fire devices, you can use the Amazon App Store:
https://www.amazon.com/VirtualShield/dp/B09RRP6G8R/

For older devices, or if you have trouble with the Amazon App Store, please open the following link on your FireOS device:
https://virtualshield.com/fireos/download

This link will download the APK file for our application. Once it's downloaded on your device, you can open the file to install our application.  If you have a previous version of VirtualShield, please make sure to uninstall your old version of VirtualShield first, then manually install it from the link above.

Step by Step Instructions

  1. Launch your browser on your FireOS device and go to the URL.
    https://virtualshield.com/fireos/download
  2. Once the file is downloaded, tap "Open" to start the installation process.
  3. Once install is complete, tap "Open" again to launch the app and login.

You're all set! Go ahead and login with your VirtualShield account to get protected.

These instructions are also depicted in the tutorial video below.
