Supported Platforms

Overview

VirutalShield is fully compatible with all modern computers, tablets, and mobile devices. We'll also be adding support for even more devices soon. Simply choose a device below for more details.

However, there are a few platforms that are too old to run our official desktop/mobile application. In this case we recommend installing our Legacy application, or one of our Chrome/Firefox/Opera browser extensions instead. Use this page to figure out if your device is supported or not.

 VirtualShield for Windows

Our Windows desktop application is supported on Microsoft Windows 7 or later. This includes Windows 8, 8.1, 10, and the new Windows 11. If you can download and install other apps on your computer, then it is likely you can install VirtualShield as well.

The Legacy Windows application is also supported on Microsoft Windows 7 or later. That means there is no reason to continue using this version, you will be able to upgrade to the latest version without any issues. In most cases the update will take place automatically, without any interruption.

Service Pack 1 is required on Windows 7 systems. Learn how to upgrade here.
