Hide to Taskbar/Tray area

Overview

When you close or hide the VirtualShield desktop application, it will continue protecting you in the background, allowing you to use your computer or tablet just as you would normally.

This allows VirtualShield to keep your system protected at all times. If you disable this option, clicking the X will exit the software, instead of hiding it. We recommend leaving this option enabled in order to be fully protected.

If you can't find the VirtualShield app on your Windows computer, it might be running in the background. To open it again, click the shield icon in the Tray area near the corner of your screen.

This icon will appear with a green circle when you are connected to the VPN, otherwise it will be yellow. If you are not logged in to your account, this icon will appear gray in color.

If you don't see this icon, click the up-arrow to Show hidden icons. You can drag this icon and move it next to your clock for quick & easy access.
